Dave Applegate was a loving husband, father and great friend.

He enjoyed the "furry kids" and supported PRONC.

The "Dave Applegate Memorial Award" was started in his honor to be given to the PRONC member each year who most embodied  three of the principles he felt were important;

Kindness, Commitment and Generosity.

A plaque is awarded each year to the worthy recipient at the annual picnic. Those winning more than once receive a year plaque to attach to their original award.
